EMT Basic

Apply for the EMT Basic role at American Medical Response in DeKalb County, GA.

We’re hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to respond to emergency and non‑emergency medical requests, delivering high‑quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients.

• Provide assessment of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well‑stocked environment for patients.
• Use EMT skills for care including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, and fellow EMTs.

• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
• Adhere to company attendance and uniform policy.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver’s license.
• BLS, NREMT certification.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

• Related experience in healthcare.
