Personal Care Assistant

Overview

A Personal Care Assistant provides personalized care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities due to disability, illness, or age-related conditions. The main goal is to help clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

• Assisting with personal hygiene
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping
• Running errands
• Providing companionship

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
• Experience working in a similar role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, compassion, and empathy
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Physical stamina and ability to lift or transfer clients if needed
• Valid driver s license and reliable transportation
• Standard motor vehicle report and proof of car insurance
• A physical and TB test results
• PCA or CNA Certification or must take PCA test with agency
