A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field coupled with 6 years of experience is required. Alternative qualifications may include a master’s degree with 4 years of experience, a Ph.D. with 1 year of experience in a related area, or 18 years of experience in the field.
In the role of Software Engineering Manager, I will guide, cultivate, and advance a team of talented Software Engineers committed to designing, executing, and delivering top‑notch software products. I will oversee the application of secure software engineering principles throughout the entire lifecycle—from design to maintenance and evaluation—ensuring our cloud infrastructure meets the highest standards. I will collaborate with cross‑functional leaders to grasp business requirements and evaluate technological strategies, ensuring that our software and systems are aptly designed.
Additionally, I will champion modern concepts and practices that enhance system functionality, scalability, resilience, security, and user experience. I will ensure the proper application of agile tenets focused on delivering business value and continuous improvement. As the manager, I’ll supervise engineering processes, direct product release planning, and ensure that we deliver secure, high‑quality, well‑tested, and scalable software. Engaging with customers and stakeholders will be crucial to swiftly address software issues and advocate for secure coding practices.
Managing team members’ career development will include hiring, performance evaluations, and mentoring. I will represent the team in strategic planning sessions and collaborate on innovations to enhance existing programs, while also responding to production issues effectively and updating technical knowledge regularly.
The compensation for this position will range from $ to $ annually. The exact salary might fluctuate depending on factors such as job location and the expertise of the selected candidate. The role may also offer additional compensation opportunities through an incentive program. Additionally, we provide a flexible vacation policy, allowing employees to take paid time off as needed, alongside seven paid holidays each year and up to 160 hours annually for personal wellness.
