Rental Coordinator – GA
Location: Stone Mountain, GA
Employment Type: Full‑Time
Compensation: $20.00 per hour (USD)
The Rental Coordinator reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for coordinating and tracking pick‑up and deliveries with transporters, while maintaining consistent communication with customers. Each branch has rental coordinators who move vehicles from point of origin to destination within established timelines, ensuring a smooth process for all stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate with carriers to meet customer pickup and delivery requirements, including hours of operation.
- Book and coordinate transportation moves to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Communicate directly with customers, sales representatives, and account managers, providing routine updates on pickup and delivery status; prioritize customer service and communications.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of planned, pending, and completed transportation movements.
- Monitor and determine priority of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Establish and manage timelines related to vehicle activity.
- Direct vendor activities, ensuring vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition.
- Review vendor work, ensuring compliance with Summit Fleet standards and procedures.
- Participate in the delivery and pickup of vehicles.
- Complete other projects as directed.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Written communication skills to compose clear and concise descriptions when posting files and drafting correspondence.
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Capacity to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Must be a team player.
- Position expected to report to work Monday‑Friday (8‑5).
- Overtime may be necessary during busy season.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Good computer fundamentals.
- 1‑2 years of transportation or transportation dispatch experience, or equivalent training preferred.
- 1‑2 years of related customer service experience preferred.
