Job Overview

This role focuses on using various imaging techniques and practices to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. It involves performing mammography duties including evaluating physical conditions related to medical imaging of breast tissue. The technologist works under moderate supervision, solving routine problems and interpreting deviations from standard procedures while communicating effectively.

Schedule

Saturdays, 8‑hour shift

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT).
  • Mammography Technologist Certification (ARRT).
  • Radiologic Technologist state license or license eligible.
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Mammography Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with X‑Ray imaging.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Independently perform mammography exams and procedures according to policy and ACR/MQSA standards.
  • Verify patient and procedure details and provide clear instructions.
  • Ensure correct imaging protocol, scanner parameters, and patient safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Perform quality control on equipment and devices as required.
  • Communicate with staff and departments to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain supply stock and coordinate ordering.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with DPH and The Joint Commission.
  • May teach students and support new technologists.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing; occasional sitting, walking, and lifting 30–35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
  • Adequate hearing and visual acuity to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to work independently.
Pay Range

$40.53 – $51.67 per hour
