We are looking for a Senior Care Worker to support the delivery of high-quality, person centred care within our older people’s service. You will work closely with the management team to provide leadership on shift, support colleagues and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
This is a hands‑on role where you will lead by example, promote best practice and help create a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff.
What your day could involve- Leading shifts and supporting care staff to deliver high standards of care
- Providing personal care and emotional support to residents in line with individual care plans
- Administering medication in line with policies and procedures
- Supporting care planning, reviews and daily documentation
- Acting as a point of contact for staff, residents and families during shifts
- Supporting new staff through induction, mentoring and on-the-job guidance
- Promoting dignity, choice and independence at all times
- Contributing to a positive team culture and supporting continuous improvement
You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and have experience working in a care setting, with the confidence to support and guide others. You will be calm, organised and able to lead shifts effectively while remaining approachable and supportive. You will have good communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine commitment to providing high quality care.
You will be a member of the SSSC and PVG, or willing to join.
