Child Protective Services Education Specialist/Attorney (Senior Education Specialist)
- Attorney approved to practice law in NYS.
- Three (3) years of full-time responsible experience in program development, evaluation, design of training materials, or supporting services.
- Experience/knowledge with Child Protective Services (CPS), Social Services law, and the Family Court Act.
- Teaching and/or training experience.
- Must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and maintain a motor vehicle record free from major violations or repeat violations.

The Child Protective Services Education Specialist will conduct a series of mandatory trainings for CPS case workers. Most training will take place in the Albany area at a training facility or virtually on Webex (approx. 50/50 at this time).
Duties- Conduct training of the legal content of NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) mandated courses.
- Assist with development and revision of curricula.
- Ensure that all materials are updated according to legislative changes.
- Ensure that other attorneys are providing updated material consistently across curricula.
- Work with the sponsor and other vendors around scheduling other attorneys for in‑person and virtual trainings.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines, and the availability of funding. FLSA exempt position, not eligible for overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
This is a part-time position. Travel to Albany is required.
