Nursing Assistant​/Ward Clerk​/EKG Tec Emergency Department - Part Time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nursing Assistant/Ward Clerk/EKG Tech works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide bedside care, monitor patients, and perform EKGs in the Emergency Department.

• Assist Registered Nurse with nursing care of assigned patients.
• Take and record temperatures, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure accurately.
• Document patient care, vital signs, and I/O in the Hospital Information System.
• Perform EKGs.
• Provide general comfort, welfare, and safety of patients.
• Perform ward clerk duties including computer entry, ED log maintenance, and heavy phone volume.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient work area and patient care unit equipment.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly and provide necessary assistance.
• Other duties as deemed appropriate by Management.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide certificate or equivalent.
• Current BLS provider certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Training course in acute care skills.
• EKG experience.

Hourly salary: $25.15 – $27.03
