CT Tech/X-Ray Tech- PD

Position: CT Tech/X-Ray Tech - PD at Stony Brook University

Performs radiographic exams for patients of all age groups.

• Associate's degree or completed hospital based program in Radiology required.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in CT license required.
• New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiographic Technologist License mandatory.
• Will consider a non-ARRT-CT candidate; however, candidate must take and pass ARRT CT exam within six months of hire.
• Minimum three years experience specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) Technology and cross-section anatomy.

Five years experience specializing in CT preferred.

• Heavy lifting and bending.
• Long periods of standing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to see and read well.
• Ability to hear, listen and follow instructions.
• Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms or mechanical substitutes to operate a stretcher, move patients and other company equipment.

• Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services.
• Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen.
• Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
• Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
