Position: CT Tech/X-Ray Tech - PD at Stony Brook University
Position DescriptionPerforms radiographic exams for patients of all age groups.
Required Qualifications- Associate's degree or completed hospital based program in Radiology required.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in CT license required.
- New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiographic Technologist License mandatory.
- Will consider a non-ARRT-CT candidate; however, candidate must take and pass ARRT CT exam within six months of hire.
- Minimum three years experience specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) Technology and cross-section anatomy.
Five years experience specializing in CT preferred.
Physical Demands- Heavy lifting and bending.
- Long periods of standing.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to see and read well.
- Ability to hear, listen and follow instructions.
- Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms or mechanical substitutes to operate a stretcher, move patients and other company equipment.

Pre-Employment Requirements (Prior to start date)- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services.
- Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen.
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. An initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date.
