Position: MRI Technologist - Full Time Day East Hampton

Position Summary

Demonstrate proficiency in performing MRI imaging exams for all ages and adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities
  • MRI Tech operates the MRI equipment, prepares patients for procedures, ensures necessary information is obtained for diagnosis, assists in patient management, and presents images to the physician.
  • Administers intravenous contrast selection and injection.
  • Prepares and enters written documentation as required, including informed consent.
  • Floats to off-sites as needed.
  • Works rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
  • ARRT/NYSDOH License required.
  • BLS required.
  • Certified to perform contract injections.
  • Specialized training in MRI technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Ability to sustain prolonged periods of sitting, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or positioning and transferring patients.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • MRI Certification preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Employee Health Services.
  • Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three professional references.
  • Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen.
  • Meet regulatory requirements for pre-employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range for this position has been established based on relevant experience.
