Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field in the sciences (foreign equivalent or higher).
• Technical knowledge evidenced by coursework in Biochemistry and/or Cell Biology.
• Experience in a research laboratory.
• Experience with mouse husbandry and handling.
• Experience with basic biochemistry techniques such as western blotting, ELISA, nucleic acid extraction, RT‑PCR.
• Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field in the sciences.
• Experience with histology and/or immunohistochemistry.
• Experience with molecular cloning.
• Experience with microscopy.
• Familiarity with cell biology laboratory procedures.
• Experience working with tissue culture.
- Provide technical laboratory support to the PI and other lab members for advanced research activities.
- Assist Principal Investigator with ordering lab supplies, maintaining compliance with environmental health and safety procedures, and routine maintenance of lab instruments.
- Participate in weekly lab meetings.
- Perform literature searches and stay current in the field by reading and discussing literature and experimental results with the PI.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
