Working Supervisor - Monday–Friday | Travel & Accommodation Provided

We’re recruiting for a Working Supervisor to support a major civils project starting shortly in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. This role will run until at least December, with the potential to continue.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident in site compliance, paperwork and day‑to‑day supervision on a busy civils site.

The Role

You’ll be working under/alongside the main Earthworks Foreman, taking responsibility for daily supervision and compliance.

Duties include:

Managing all site paperwork, including permits and plant inspections

Carrying out daily safety checks

Ensuring works are delivered in line with RAMS

Supporting the Foreman with coordination of plant and labour

Overseeing general civils and earthworks activities

Project Details

The project is based in Lewis, with works due to begin in Stornoway. If you’re not local, accommodation will be provided — a mix of built and rented houses arranged by the contractor.

Travel will follow a Monday–Friday rotation, with flights available from Glasgow, Inverness or Edinburgh.

Requirements

CSCS (essential)

SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)

Strong background in civils/earthworks supervision

Comfortable working away from home
