Wanted:

The Town of Stoughton is seeking qualified candidates for the fulltime, benefited, union position of Council on Aging Receptionist  Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The receptionist's position is a public facing position and involves greeting people at the main desk window and handling specific tasks. This role can be very busy at times and involves multi-tasking. Some of the duties including signing seniors up for various activities, collecting money, answering phone calls, handling  customer service  issues, providing resources, and communicating with our van drivers who may be on the road.

Qualifications:

High School Degree or equivalent and m inimum of two years of experience working with the public. Working knowledge and skill in the operation of computers (Word/Excel), Knowledge of existing social services helpful, Ability to interact in a positive and effective manner with senior citizens, employees, and the general public, Ability to communicate effectively, Ability to execute oral and written instructions in a precise manner, Courtesy, tact and sensitivity to the elderly and people with disabilities, Excellent employee relations and public relations skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Special Requirements

Fulfillment of COA training requirements, including CPR and First Aid certification, and Satisfactory pre-employment physical exam, drug testing, and CORI check.
