Surgical Technologist

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team on a Per-Diem basis.
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for aiding the professional nurse or physician in providing patient care to those patients requiring surgical procedures during the operative and immediate post-operative surgery.

Essential Functions:

• Prepares the Operating Room for patients
• Keeping the operating room clean and sterile
• Passing instruments and other sterile supplies
• Routine inspection of sterile supplies
• Understand the sterilization process

Position Requirements:

• Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologists
• Preferred:
  Post-secondary coursework in Central Service skills
• Required Professional
  
  Experience:
  
  One-year experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Required Certification:
  Current BLS certification
• Computer
  
  Competency:
  
  Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
• Microsoft Office Suite
  
  Skills:
  
  Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
