Physical Therapist Assistant PTA

Pay: $32-$38 per hour

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Newburyport, MA.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, progressive rehabilitation environment focused on providing high-quality, resident-centered care. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans, support residents’ recovery, improve mobility, and enhance overall quality of life.

• Perform physical therapy treatments as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in determining treatment priorities, identifying goals, and selecting appropriate treatment techniques.
• Establish rapport with residents while maintaining professionalism throughout treatment.
• Record daily treatment and modality information accurately.
• Complete required clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies.
• Assist with chart audits as directed.
• Prepare progress notes as appropriate and review patient progress and goals with the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to support positive resident outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state regulations and facility policies.

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Active Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality resident care.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
