CNC Milling Machinist

Job Overview

F.H. Peterson Machine Corp. is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to work at its Stoughton, MA facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining, programming, and process improvement, with experience operating CNC milling machines and wire EDM. The role requires attention to detail, precision, and collaboration in a job shop environment.

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Program CNC machines using Mastercam 24 and Solid Works languages.
• Use hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to complete tasks.
• Inspect finished products using GD&T principles to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

• Proven experience as a 3‑axis CNC machinist in a job shop environment.
• Proficiency in programming CNC machines.
• Familiarity with tooling setups and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
• Knowledge of GD&T principles preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a CNC milling machinist (required).
• Day shift availability (required).
