Job OverviewCoastal Marine Construction, LLC is actively seeking a results‑driven Labor Foreman with a strong background in utility installation, excavation, and trenching to lead and oversee field crews on construction projects. The Labor Foreman will be responsible for supervising daily operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. This role requires hands‑on leadership, technical knowledge of underground utility work, and the ability to coordinate labor, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate crews performing excavation, trenching, back filling, and installation of utility lines (water, sewer, storm, gas, or electrical).
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and local regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and project specifications to guide work activities.
- Oversee equipment use and ensure proper operation and maintenance of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
- Monitor progress, quality, and productivity, making adjustments as needed to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and motivate crew members to achieve high performance and teamwork.
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Maintain accurate records of labor hours, equipment usage, materials, and daily reports.
- Assist with problem‑solving in the field and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
- 3+ years of experience in utility excavation, trenching, and underground utility installation.
- Proven leadership experience supervising field labor crews.
- Solid knowledge of excavation equipment and trench safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans and work orders.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and local utility standards.
- Physical capability to work in demanding outdoor environments and handle heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
