Position: INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE/ELECTRICIAN TECHNICIAN
Industrial Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift Available with potential 2nd Shift option

Uniroyal Engineered Products is a leading manufacturer of vinyl coated fabrics that are durable, stain resistant, cost-effective alternatives to leather, cloth and other synthetic fabric coverings. The company manufactures automotive, specialty and Naugahyde brand products at its manufacturing plant in Stoughton, Wisconsin.

Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting our production operations through the application of reliable best practices to ensure our legacy equipment remains at optimal performance levels. This position will require an individual that cares about doing the job right and is trustworthy and honest in their communications. The selected candidate must be able to perform all duties promptly while ensuring compliance with all work practice and equipment safety procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains facilities, equipment, and machinery using the preventative maintenance program and determines the extent of repair or parts replacement.
  • Rigs, installs, services, modifies, dismantles, and moves machinery according to floor plans.
  • Installs and maintains pumps, blowers, motors, and production machinery.
  • Installs conduit, size starters, wiring, and associated equipment required
Specific Mechanical Duties:
  • Performs all types of welding; including arc, MIG, and acetylene; in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions.
  • Determines proper type of weld, welding equipment rod, and spacing.
  • Utilizes structural steel, pipe, cast iron, cast steel, brass, bronze, aluminum, and various alloys.
  • May braze and use flame and plasma cutters.
  • Fabricates and assembles parts using metal fabrication tools and machinery such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
Specific Electrical Duties:
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls, reversing contractors, start/stop stations, drive, PLC controls, and PLC programming.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Carpentry, fabrication, sheet metal, plumbing, and HVAC as required.
  • Assist other maintenance workers.
  • Passes all necessary information to Keyworker and/or relieving shift to assure continuation of maintenance performance.
  • Assist as directed by supervision.
