Are you experienced within supply chain wanting to start a role as Junior Buyer?

We have a great opportunity to be a key member of a supply chain department starting as Junior Buyer.

This role will provide essential support to ensure the smooth operation of the whole end to end buying process. You will work closely with the purchasing team, liaise with suppliers, and support various departments within the company.

Main responsibilities
  • Administrative Support:
    Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Buying team, including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Purchase Orders:
    Assist in raising and processing purchase orders using the company's system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supplier Liaison:
    Communicate with suppliers to track order progress, resolve any issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels.
  • Data Analysis:
    Assist in compiling and analysing data related to purchasing, pricing, and market trends to support decision‑making.
  • Product Samples:
    Manage the receipt and organisation of product samples, ensuring they are available for review by the Buying team.
  • Market Research:
    Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and trends that align with the company's objectives.
  • Documentation:
    Prepare and manage all necessary documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Meeting Coordination:
    Schedule and organise meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD):
    Assist in coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to bring new products from concept to market.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • General Assistance:
    Provide general assistance to the Supply Chain Department and other team members as required, including any ad hoc duties.
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Hours of work: 7.30am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 1.00pm on Fridays
