A fantastic opportunity to join an established services business based in Redditch as an Assistant Management Accountant with a salary of £27,000 – £30,000 and hybrid working. • Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts to help meet agreed reporting deadlines
• Posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
• Acting as a first point of contact for internal queries relating to the month-end process, working closely with the Management Accountant and Finance Manager
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
• Helping to implement and maintain checks that ensure financial information is accurate and reliable
• Supporting the Finance Manager during the year-end process, including preparing information for external auditors
• Assisting with the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Contributing to the annual budget-setting process alongside the wider finance team
• Picking up other reasonable ad hoc duties to support the finance function as needed

The role is based in Redditch and offers hybrid working, joining a close-knit and supportive finance team. You’ll benefit from onsite parking and increased flexibility around working hours once you’re through your probationary period, in a business that genuinely invests in developing its people.

• Studying towards AAT, or part qualified/qualified by experience towards ACCA or CIMA
• Previous exposure to management accounts is advantageous but not essential — experience with bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments would be a strong plus
• Good attention to detail with the ability to process high volumes of information accurately
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• Confident communication skills, comfortable building relationships with non-finance stakeholders
• IT proficient, with strong Excel/spreadsheet skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
