A design engineer at Anderson International Corp will be partnering with the team as they develop, test, modify and create solutions to the technical problems in the manufacturing of capital equipment.
Principal Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and/or coordinate engineering activities with engineering teams
- Confer with Sales and marketing staff to discuss project specifications or procedures
- Research, develop and design of new products and procedures
- Analyze technology, resource needs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
- Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management
- Discuss and layout product specifications
- Make detailed plans to accomplish goals including schedules and Gantt charts and hold team accountable to timelines
- Develop cost estimates
- Check technical accuracy of work
- Coordinate activities of the unit with other units within the organization
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services
- 10-20% domestic travel as needed to visit customer site and assess equipment
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of Design Engineering experience
- Machine design experience
- Previous experience directing large scale engineering projects
- Previous experience using 3-D modeling software, preferably Solid Works
- Must have good communication skills with both employees and outside vendors
- Must be inquisitive, highly motivated self-starter and able to manage his/her own time wisely
- Strong relationship builder
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
