Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and effective treatment outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment goals and home care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree/certification in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
  • Experience as a Physical Therapist (PT) in critical care or managed care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with geriatrics and the unique needs of older adults.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum, employing tailored strategies for engagement.
  • Proficient in providing patient care that emphasizes safety, comfort, and rehabilitation goals.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
