Operations Manager

The Range originated in the markets of the Southwest where Chris Dawson started business in 1980 as an open air market trader. The Range has since grown with the company opening the first 'superstore' at Sugar Mill Business Park in Plymouth in 1989. The fastest growing non-food retailer in the UK, the business now has over 180 stores open across the UK and Ireland, offering over 65,000 products across multiple departments and employing over 10,000 staff.

We're looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to take joint ownership of our warehouse operation and help drive the next phase of our growth journey. • Leading all warehouse activities from goods-in to dispatch
• Creating a high-performing culture through strong leadership, coaching, and team development
• Driving operational efficiency, productivity, and service improvements
• Ensuring inventory accuracy through robust stock control and warehouse processes
• Monitoring key performance indicators and using data to make informed decisions
• Championing Health & Safety and maintaining standards
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results
• Collaborating with supply chain, logistics, procurement, and customer teams to ensure a seamless operation
• Managing resources, budgets, and costs while maintaining exceptional service levels

• Proven experience managing a large operational team, including Shift Managers and First Line Managers, within a 24/7, 7-day-a-week warehousing, logistics, or distribution environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building engaged high-performing teams
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Blue Yonder experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Strong commercial awareness and cost-management experience
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
