Due to our continued growth and success, we at Hewicks Haulage have fantastic opportunities for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our family-run team.
Successful applicants will be required to work a full Monday to Friday shift pattern, which will include 4–5 nights out per week. On occasion, there may also be a requirement for a run-in on a Saturday or a run-off on a Sunday if work dictates. The Transport Team will always discuss and agree any weekend cover requirements with you in advance.
We operate a modern fleet of eye-catching Scania trucks, all equipped with fridges, microwaves, storage lockers, and sat navs.
The role primarily involves delivering animal feed in bulk liquid form. Full in-house training will be provided on the use of our road tankers and vac tanks. We also undertake a variety of curtain-side and container work, meaning there is an opportunity to start within these areas and progress into tanker work.
As a company, we offer:- Overtime paid after 50 hours

Our drivers earn, on average, in the region of £50,000 over a standard five-day working week. Pay is made on a four-weekly basis.

Please note:- The role is based at our depot/yard in Cockfield, Bury St Edmunds
. Travel is throughout the UK; this is a national driving role only (no international travel). - Drivers must be fluent in English
, as the ability to complete paperwork and communicate effectively with customers is essential. - A minimum of 4–5 nights out per week is required for this role.
