Nursery Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS:
Giggles & Wiggles Childcare. To assist in providing quality care, education and play opportunities for children aged 0-11 years, providing equal opportunities.

• To participate as a member of a team of adults working together to create an environment which promotes children’s development and learning.
• To be a key person for a group of children, to observe and assess their learning, plan for their individual needs and be responsible for making contributions to records of children’s development.
• To foster children’s growth, self-esteem and independence.
• To contribute to the planning and preparation of activities.
• To assist in communicating effectively with parents/carers of children you care for.
• To share responsibility for children’s personal care.
• To work according to Giggles & Wiggles policies and procedures.
• To have a commitment to personal professional development.
• To prepare for and receive supervision, using it as a tool for development.
• To attend in-service training as agreed with the Giggles & Wiggles Manager.
• To undertake such other duties as required by the Giggles & Wiggles Manager.

• Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Care, Learning and Development OR equivalent.
• Must be flexible between hours of 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday as and when required.
• Must be willing to attend occasional training outside normal working hours.
• Valid Safeguarding training certificate.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Valid Level 2 Award Food Safety certificate.
