Electrical Test Engineer

* We are recruiting for a Electrical Test Engineer within our Energi Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and carrying out quality checks on MV and LV switch gear. * Responsibilities
* * Performing routine and final testing on low and medium voltage switch gear assemblies.

* Interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and working with Engineering team to resolve design or manufacture issues.

* Preparing accurate test reports and maintaining proper documentation.

* Performing quality inspections at different production stages, and report on findings.

* Supporting Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with clients.

* Ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Assisting in the commissioning of switch gear (on site) so occasional travel required.

* Skills and Qualifications
* * A degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field, or proven experience in an electrical switch gear testing similar role.

* Experience with testing equipment, and knowledge of switch gear operation and protection systems.

* Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret electrical wiring schematics.

* Ability to work within tight deadlines.

* Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office packages, and strong documentation, reporting and analytical skills.

* Strong attention to detail, and ability to work to exceptionally high standards.

* Working as part of a team.
