Activities Assistant Join our Team at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at South Hills

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to support the planning, organization, and implementation of recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that enhance the quality of life for participants or residents at Kadima Rehabilitation & Nursing at South Hills. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment that encourages participation and promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being.

• Assist in planning and conducting daily activity programs, including events, holiday celebrations, and entertainment

• Encourage participation and provide individual support during activities, promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being

• Set up, decorate, and clean activity areas before and after events, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment

• Transport participants or residents to and from activities when needed, demonstrating empathy and kindness

• Build positive relationships with participants, families, and team members, fostering a sense of community and belonging

• Maintain activity supplies and assist with inventory, showcasing attention to detail and organizational skills

• Document attendance and participant involvement as required, ensuring accurate records and reporting

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Activities Director, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous experience in recreation, customer service, healthcare, or senior care is a plus

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient personality

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with basic computer skills preferred

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with activity setup, demonstrating physical stamina and willingness

• This position may involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting participants throughout the day, with evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required depending on scheduled activities and special events.
