Our client seeks a Procurement Officer/ Administrator to assist their team on a 2-month contract.
Role:To support the team in managing the procurement function within the department. You will act as a purchasing officer in order to meet the organisation's requirement for goods and services within best practice guidelines. Responsible for the facilitation and procurement of goods and services across the section. Taking a positive and proactive role in problem solving and assisting with the management of change and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:- 5 GCSE's at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Professional qualification in relevant subject.
- Significant experience in contract administration or procurement.
- Experienced in preparation of tender specifications, sub-contract documents & estimation of costs.
- Experience in reviewing and developing processes.
- Able to liaise and work with Client representatives, sub-contractors and the general public at all levels.
- Self-reliant with ability to work on own initiative; resilient and decisive.
- Calm and controlled with ability to work within deadlines.
- Effective team player.
