Job Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway

Job Title: Veterinary Surgeon

Location: Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway

Working Hours: The full time for this position includes working 5 days per week 8:30am – 6pm with an hour lunch break however we are happy to speak with part time candidates looking to flex their hours around their lifestyle. We have a weekend rota and provide our own out of hours currently on a 2:10 basis with the odd Saturday morning.

Vets get a half day on the Friday following their weekend first on call. Two Vets are always on call to provide backup and support if necessary.

Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE

• Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
• Conduct surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
• Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
• Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

• Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
