Logistics Manager – Major Construction Project

Rate: £24.00-£25.00 p/h, overtime and weekend available

Romax Solutions are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to take full ownership of site logistics on a large and complex construction project in London. This role is suited to a confident and highly experienced professional with a proven background in managing logistics on major UK developments, including multi-storey and high-value schemes. You will play a critical role in maintaining programme, safety and efficiency across a busy site environment, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and subcontractors.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Grade A Tier 1 client on a high-profile and prestigious project in London.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site logistics and delivery operations.

Coordinate and schedule deliveries, collections and material movements.

Control vehicle and pedestrian movements around the site.

Act as Traffic Marshall, managing site traffic and directing vehicles safely.

Ensure deliveries are planned to minimise disruption, delays and congestion.

Manage loading, unloading, storage and distribution of materials.

Maintain clear and safe access routes, haul roads and working areas.

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, drivers and site management.

Monitor site logistics areas and ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.

Ensure all logistics activities comply with site rules, RAMS and relevant health and safety requirements.

Support the Site Manager with site planning, sequencing and coordination.

Assist with site inductions and communicate site-specific logistics requirements.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, plant, materials and logistics activities.

Identify potential hazards and implement appropriate control measures.

Carry out Fire Marshal duties, including monitoring fire safety arrangements and supporting emergency procedures.

Provide First Aid assistance within the limits of training where required.

Promote a positive health and safety culture across the site.

Attend site meetings and coordinate logistics requirements with the wider project team.

Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in a construction or site logistics management role.

* Strong knowledge of construction site logistics and traffic management.

* Good communication and organisational skills.

* Ability to coordinate multiple deliveries, contractors and site activities.

* Confident managing drivers, subcontractors and suppliers.

* Strong understanding of site health and safety requirements.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet programme deadlines.

* SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme

* Fire Marshal / Fire Warden
