Empowering Learning are recruiting a motivated ECT Humanities Teacher to join a supportive and well-established secondary school in East London. This is a permanent role ideal for an Early Career Teacher looking to develop their career, gain structured support, and contribute to student progression, engagement, and curriculum development across KS3 and KS4.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging Humanities lessons (History, Geography, or Social Studies) across KS3 and KS4
Plan lessons aligned with school curriculum and exam specifications
Support student attainment, progression, and behaviour management
Contribute to departmental planning, assessments, and development initiatives
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment
Qualified ECT (PGCE/QTS) in Humanities or equivalent
Strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 curriculum in History, Geography, or related subjects
Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management
Passion for student learning and progression
Organised, reliable, and collaborative
Permanent, full-time role from September 2026
