About The Role
Are you passionate about protecting the environment while delivering major infrastructure projects? We’re looking for an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to support our Northwest London project portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of high-profile construction projects, ensuring environmental risks are effectively managed while championing sustainable construction practices. Working closely with project teams, contractors and specialist stakeholders, you’ll provide expert advice, drive best practice and help create a positive environmental culture across projects that are critical to the UK’s energy infrastructure.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Provide environmental and sustainability advice to project teams throughout project delivery.
- Support the implementation of environmental and sustainability management plans across construction projects.
- Monitor contractor and consultant compliance, providing assurance that environmental risks are being effectively managed.
- Measure and report environmental and sustainability performance against project requirements.
- Investigate environmental incidents, identify lessons learned and support continual improvement.
- Deliver environmental training, guidance and awareness initiatives across project teams.
- Build strong relationships with supply chain partners to promote collaboration and best practice.
- Champion a positive Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability (SHES) culture across the portfolio.
You will be based out of Iver substation with regular travel to sites in Northwest London.
About YouWe’re looking for someone who can combine technical environmental knowledge with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
You’ll Ideally Have- Experience working in an Environmental Advisor, Sustainability Advisor or similar environment-focused role within project delivery or construction.
- Knowledge of environmental management and sustainable delivery best practices.
- A degree or professional qualification in an environmental discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A genuine passion for sustainability and driving positive environmental outcomes.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Membership of IEMA or another relevant professional body.
A competitive salary of £49,000 – £60,000 per annum plus £10,970 per annum London weighting allowance
