The OpportunityWe’re looking for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a UK accountancy practice who is looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll work with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory work while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

THE ROLEYour responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Preparing Corporation Tax Returns, Self Assessment Tax Returns and P11
Ds - Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports
- Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and taxation queries
- Meeting with clients and identifying tax planning and business improvement opportunities
- Building strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication and exceptional client service
- Managing multiple assignments while ensuring all deadlines are met
- Assisting managers with ad-hoc projects and advisory work
- Keeping up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation
You’ll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking for a role that offers greater responsibility, client exposure and opportunities to develop your career.
You’ll ideally have:
- AAT qualification and be studying towards ACCA or ACA
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
- Experience with Iris (desirable)
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use your initiative
- The ability to manage a varied client portfolio and prioritise competing deadlines
