We’re looking for an ambitious Semi Senior Accountant to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a UK accountancy practice who is looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll work with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory work while continuing to develop your technical expertise.

You’ll build trusted relationships with clients, support them throughout the year and play an important role in helping them achieve their business goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
• Preparing Corporation Tax Returns, Self Assessment Tax Returns and P11
  
  Ds
• Preparing Real Time Capital Gains Tax reports
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and taxation queries
• Meeting with clients and identifying tax planning and business improvement opportunities
• Building strong, long-term relationships through proactive communication and exceptional client service
• Managing multiple assignments while ensuring all deadlines are met
• Assisting managers with ad-hoc projects and advisory work
• Keeping up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation

You’ll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking for a role that offers greater responsibility, client exposure and opportunities to develop your career.

You’ll ideally have:

• AAT qualification and be studying towards ACCA or ACA
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong experience using Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
• Experience with Iris (desirable)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships with clients and colleagues
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use your initiative
• The ability to manage a varied client portfolio and prioritise competing deadlines
