A highly respected GP surgery, ranked within the top 6% nationally, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Receptionist to join their friendly, supportive, and high-performing team.

The Role
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. This position requires proven, recent experience as a receptionist, ideally within a busy environment, where delivering exceptional customer service is second nature.
You will be joining a reception team of five and working one of the following schedules:
Option 1
Monday: 8:00am 2:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Friday: 8:00am 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Option 2
Monday: 8:00am 2:00pm
Thursday: 8:00am 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Friday: 1:00pm 6:30pm
Key Responsibilities
Warmly greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional manner
Manage incoming telephone calls with excellent telephone etiquette
Book, amend, and manage appointments efficiently
Accurately update and maintain patient records
Carry out general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and photocopying
Maintain a tidy, organised, and professional reception area
Support the wider administrative team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Essential requirements of the receptionist
An experienced receptionist, confident dealing with a wide range of customers
Friendly, enthusiastic, and approachable
A quick learner with strong IT skills
Confident using a Patient Record System (EMIS Web experience desirable, though full training will be provided)
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Hardworking, proactive, and positive in approach
Eligible to work in the UK
Candidates should live within easy commuting distance from the surgery in Alcester.
