Enable future pricing capability through a significant change programme. Mentor and develop a team of junior analysts. Hybrid – 80% homeworking and 20% from our Head Office in Stratford Upon Avon.

At NFU Mutual, this Data Engineering Manager role sits within an exciting transformational project workstream focused on enabling pricing activity through high‑quality, accessible data. In this 9‑month maternity cover contract, you will support NFU Mutual’s largest transformational change project, working closely with pricing teams and stakeholders across the organisation. You will build strong relationships and translate requirements into effective data solutions, take ownership of workstream deliverables, manage priorities, and ensure high‑quality, reliable information is available when needed.

Alongside delivery, you will lead and support a small team, helping to develop capability, set clear expectations and maximise contribution to business outcomes. The role is based in our Tiddington Head Office in Stratford‑Upon‑Avon, but you are encouraged to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

• Strong experience using SQL
• Proven experience leading projects and delivering data solutions
• Experience of leadership, management or coaching
• Experience with data integration services including ETL
• Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops or similar platforms such as AWS or GCP is highly desirable
• Confident, collaborative, and able to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
• Accountable, decisive, and able to manage competing priorities with strong time‑management and prioritisation skills
• Excellent communication, delegation and coaching skills to help individuals and teams perform at their best
• Pragmatic approach to handling challenges and constructive conflict resolution

• Salary – up to £75,000 depending on experience
• Annual bonus (up to 17.5% of salary)
