Sales Operator

We are looking for Sales Operators (Box Office) to deliver exceptional customer service, while maximising ticket sales and promoting RSC productions, memberships, and services.

Based on site in Stratford-upon-Avon, you will be supporting on our Box Office counters or telephone lines, providing the highest levels of customer service to the general public. The roles are variable hours and help to keep operations running smoothly at peak times. We are looking for people that can be flexible with days and hours, which includes weekend working.

• Deliver high-quality customer service via phone, in person, and outbound calls
• Process ticket bookings accurately across phone, counter, and postal channels
• Promote and sell productions, memberships, and related products
• Provide clear, engaging information about events and services
• Maintain accurate customer records and transactional reconciliation processes
• Support team activities, ticket dispatch, and general Box Office operations

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have:

• Previous Box Office or sales experience
• Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner
• Ability to work independently and use initiative, as well as collaboratively in a team
• Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
• Experience of ticketing systems (or similar) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams)

The basic working day will be anytime between 8.30am to 8.30pm, with a minimum call of 3 hours and a maximum shift length of 8 ½ hours including a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. The Sales and Ticketing rota is being produced no later than 5 weeks in advance.
