. This fixed term contract appointment runs until August 2027 at Stratford upon Avon School, Warwickshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cover for absent subject teachers and support learning activities across classes.
  • Work alongside lead teachers as a teaching assistant to support all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Deliver extra‑curricular activities, including clubs and inter‑school events, in collaboration with curriculum leaders for Physical Education and Performing Arts.
  • Utilise your own area of expertise to spark student interest in subjects not linked to the curriculum.
Key Relationships

Your line manager will be the Inclusion and Assessment Leader, working directly with the Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion). You will work closely with the SEN Department, SENCo, and senior teaching staff to access training and professional development.

Resources & Working Hours

Associate Teachers receive a laptop for classroom use. Working hours are 8.30am to 4.40pm, four days a week, plus 8.30am to 4.10pm one day. Total weekly hours are 37, with a 40‑minute unpaid lunch break. Additional hours for clubs or extra‑curricular activities attract extra payment upon prior agreement.

Holiday & Grading

This is a 39‑week year (38 weeks of student attendance plus 1 week of staff learning days). Graded to Band G with monthly pay directly into a nominated bank account. Increment automatic in April after six months and successful probation.

Induction & Professional Development

A structured induction programme will be developed for the successful applicant. A planned professional development programme will be linked to the competency‑based performance review system throughout the year.
