Lecturer – Theatrical & Media Make-Up (Temporary Vacancy Cover)

Smile Education is currently supporting a Further Education provider with a requirement for an experienced Lecturer in Theatrical & Media Make-Up to provide temporary vacancy cover from 5 January 2026 until 13 February 2026 as minimum
. This full-time role will involve teaching across two sites in Stratford-upon-Avon and Solihull
. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for a skilled practitioner with recent FE teaching experience to support learners within a Hair and Beauty department during a key period of the academic year.

• Salary:
  • Lecturer scale Points 6–14: £31,223 – £42,579 per annum
  • Up to £46,894 per annum for candidates with a Level 5 Teaching Qualification
• Contract Type:
  Temporary agency cover

• Deliver high-quality teaching in Theatrical & Media Make-Up within a Further Education setting
• Support learners through practical and theory-based sessions
• Assess learner progress in line with FE requirements
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and learner engagement

• Previous Further Education (FE) teaching experience
• A relevant teaching qualification
• Assessor Award (or equivalent)
• Recent experience teaching within an FE setting
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a temporary role
