Role Overview
We are looking for a committed and confident SEND Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school from September 2026. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities- Early years SEND support for Reception and Year 1 pupils
- Delivering phonics sessions using a systematic synthetic phonics approach
- Implementing support plans and working closely with teachers and the SENCO
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent, nurturing strategies
- Creating a positive learning environment that encourages independence
- A strong, confident classroom presence
- Experience teaching or supporting phonics
- Patience, resilience, and a caring approach
- Ability to commit to a full-time role from September 2026
- Experience with SEND (desirable but not essential if willing to learn)
