Alveston C of E Primary School is seeking a caring and dedicated caretaker to join our community starting on 1st September 2026. The caretaker role is vital in ensuring our building and grounds remain safe and in tip‑top condition so our environment is a joyful place to teach, learn and visit.

• Open the school each morning and carry out safety checks of the buildings and grounds.
• Keyholder duties and ensure building is secure.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the building and grounds in an excellent condition.

• No prior experience required; a willingness to learn and a practical approach are important.
• Availability to work a minimum of 5 hours per week from 7 am to 8 am.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday for 39 term‑time weeks plus 5 days spread over the school holidays.
• Willingness to extend the role for more hours or weeks as needed.

Minimum of 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday during the term (39 weeks) plus holiday time. The role is 40 weeks paid pro rata over 12 months per year. Hours are from 7 am to 8 am daily.
