Are you a caring, patient and passionate Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs?

We are currently looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Stratford, supporting students with a range of additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to students with complex learning and additional needs. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to create a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with complex SEND needs in the classroom and throughout the school day
Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
Helping students develop their communication, learning, social and independence skills
Supporting students with emotional regulation and behaviour
Following individual education and support plans
Building positive, trusting relationships with students
Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals
Encouraging students to become as independent and confident as possible
We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:

Patient, compassionate and resilient
Experienced working with children or young people with SEND/complex needs
Confident supporting challenging or distressed behaviour
A strong communicator with a nurturing approach
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people
Previous experience working with complex needs is highly desirable, although candidates with strong transferable experience and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
