Job Title: Mechanical Product Design Engineer

Location: Stratford-upon-Avon

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Product Design Engineer to join our small, collaborative development team based near Stratford-upon-Avon. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of new industrial products, working closely with our in-house electronics engineers from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop industrial products from concept to manufacture.
  • Create detailed 3D models and production drawings using Autodesk Inventor
    .
  • Design components and enclosures for high-pressure die casting (HPDC) and injection moulding processes.
  • Liaise with toolmakers, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure DFM/DFA best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the electronics team to integrate mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Support prototyping, testing, validation, and certification processes.
  • Contribute to continuous product improvement and cost optimisation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience designing industrial products using high-pressure die casting and injection moulding
    .
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
    .
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and material selection.
  • Experience working in a small, fast-paced engineering team.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Must live within commuting distance of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Desirable
  • Experience designing products for regulated or hazardous environments.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and supply chain interaction.
  • Familiarity with product testing and compliance standards.
