Expleois a trusted partner for end-to-end, integrated engineering, quality services and management consulting for digital transformation. We help businesses harness unrelenting technological change to successfully deliver innovations that will help them gain a competitive advantage and improve the everyday lives of people around the globe.

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient HiL Automation/Framework Engineer to support our client in the Automotive sector.

The role contributes to the development and validation of Advanced Automated Driving (AAD) features using closed-loop Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems, specifically the L4M rigs. The position focuses on building and validating an AAD automation framework that supports synchronised scenario execution and integrated Human-Machine Interface (HMI) evaluation within a simulated test environment.

The successful candidate will help design, implement, and integrate an automated testing framework leveraging the A4 framework and ensure precise time synchronisation between simulation and hardware platforms to achieve accurate and repeatable test execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an automation framework to support closed-loop HiL testing for AAD systems using the A4 framework.
  • Integrate Drive Sim scenario execution with robust time synchronisation mechanisms across hardware and simulation platforms.
  • Enable automated HMI evaluation leveraging A4 framework capabilities.
  • Ensure full compatibility and seamless integration with existing L4M rig architecture and testing infrastructure.
  • Implement and validate measurement techniques to support data accuracy and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance automation efficiency and testing robustness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Automotive Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in automation development, HiL systems, or automotive testing environments.
  • Familiarity with AAD, ADAS, or autonomous driving development and validation processes is highly desirable.
Essential skills
  • Proficiency in test automation tools/languages (Python, C/C++, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, ECU-Test, etc.).
  • dSPACE Automation Desk: Experience with test automation and HiL orchestration.
  • Vector CANoe & CANape: Skilled in bus simulation, signal monitoring, and calibration.
  • Corvus: Experience with data logging and analysis platforms.
  • AWS Cloud: Understanding of cloud-based storage, compute resources, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Linux (Ubuntu): Comfortable working in Linux-based development environments.
  • Git: Strong understanding of version control and collaborative workflows.
  • Scenario-based Testing: Knowledge of scenario-based testing methods (e.g., NV Drivesim 2.0, dSPACE ASM, or IPG Car Maker).
Desired skills
  • Experience with time synchronisation mechanisms between simulation and hardware platforms.
  • Familiarity with A4 framework and its application in automated HMI evaluation.
  • Prior involvement in AAD or ADAS validation on closed-loop HiL systems.
  • Knowledge of real-time systems and deterministic test execution.
  • Exposure to model-based development (MBD) or simulation-based testing workflows.
