Cockpit Test and Development Lead Engineer -  - £27.30/hr umbrella rate

What You Will Do:
  • Coordinate the development, testing, and verification of new systems and components within the cockpit system.
  • Set up, monitor, and report on test plans using industry‑standard systems to ensure progression and sign‑off.
  • Manage the design verification process, ensuring all standards are met throughout design maturation.
  • Create and update Bills of Materials for test parts, liaising with suppliers and test houses to secure approvals.
  • Prepare parts for testing, evaluate results, resolve issues, and document findings in management tracking systems.
  • Maintain clear communication with supplier teams and module leaders to ensure test plans remain on track.
What You Will Bring:
  • Proven experience in resolving business, technical, and process issues within a project team environment.
  • A degree and experience, with a solid understanding of engineering standards and test procedures.
  • Familiarity with Digi buck and Design Verification processes, alongside experience with programme planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
