A well:established and experienced planning consultancy based in Stratford, London is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join its growing team.
The consultancy provides independent and wide:ranging planning and development advice to both private and public sector clients, with experience across residential, commercial, retail, education, leisure, agriculture, rural and self:build projects. The team prides itself on delivering pragmatic, high:quality planning solutions and building strong, professional relationships with its clients.

The RoleAs a Town Planner, you will work across a diverse range of planning matters, supporting clients throughout the planning and development process. You will have the opportunity to gain experience across planning applications, development appraisals, appeals, enforcement matters, site promotion and wider planning advice.
Key Responsibilities- Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documentation.
- Undertaking planning research and development appraisals.
- Providing planning and development advice to clients.
- Assisting with planning appeals and enforcement matters.
- Supporting site promotion and development proposals.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Preparing planning statements, reports and professional correspondence.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority or related environment. Good knowledge of the UK planning system, legislation and policy.
- Experience with planning applications and associated documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and project:management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Commercial awareness and a client:focused approach.
- A pragmatic and solution:focused approach to planning matters.
- MRTPI status or progress towards chartership would be advantageous.
