Hybrid 80% homeworking and 20% from Stratford upon Avon

About the role

At NFU Mutual, you’ll join the Risk Division as a Senior Risk Intelligence Analyst, working within the Risk Intelligence Team alongside Model Validation colleagues as part of the Model Risk Team. You’ll help strengthen the way risk information is understood, managed and used by developing data initiatives that support consistent, practical and evidence‑led decision making.

In this role, you’ll design, build and improve insight‑led tools that bring together complex data and turn it into clear, practical outputs. Working closely with stakeholders across the Risk Division to understand their challenges, you’ll shape solutions that are easy to use, and present insight in a way that supports confident decisions and recommendations.

You’ll also play an important role in making sure risks, controls and limitations are clearly understood and appropriately managed. This includes contributing to Model Risk Management activity by supporting second line assurance over the way models are identified, assessed, validated and governed, as well as coaching colleagues and helping build wider capability through training, workshops and clear communication.

This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work‑life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

About you

You’ll bring a blend of technical data capability, sound risk judgement and strong stakeholder skills. You’ll be comfortable working in an agile way, using complex information to shape clear insight and explain what it means in a way that supports practical decisions. You’ll also be confident challenging constructively, coaching others and helping build data confidence across the team and wider division.

To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring:

  • Strong SQL capability, with experience using reporting or analytical tools such as Power BI
  • Experience improving data outputs beyond Excel, including data engineering, management information analysis, controls or assurance checks
  • A degree, equivalent qualification or relevant work experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science or a related field
  • Practical Python skills, using code to support analysis, automation or insight development
  • Experience with R, Microsoft Fabric, PyCharm, RStudio, machine learning, artificial intelligence, model validation or model risk management
