About the RoleThe primary purpose of the Conveyancer role is to manage the legal aspects of property transactions from initiation to completion. This involves ensuring all necessary legal documentation is accurately prepared, facilitating clear communication between clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other relevant parties, and safeguarding clients’ interests throughout the conveyancing process. The Conveyancer will be responsible for delivering a smooth, efficient, and professional service, ensuring all transactions comply with current legislation and best practice.
This role requires a proactive individual who can manage their workload efficiently.
- Sell new build plots, buy and sell part-exchange properties.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other relevant parties to safeguard clients’ interests throughout the conveyancing process.
- Deliver a smooth, efficient, and professional service, ensuring all transactions comply with current legislation and best practice.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by meeting clients and understanding their needs. Adjust approach, communication, and expectations when dealing with clients, treating them with courtesy and respect.
- Manage risk effectively and elevate any issues as necessary.
- Share knowledge to enhance the skills of others.
- Learn from others through the work environment and formal learning. Maintain an open mindset.
- Develop efficiency when working with others, managing relationships, and connecting with people.
- Approach all tasks with confidence and a positive attitude.
- Show a willingness to take on feedback from leadership and from more junior employees to grow.
- Previous residential conveyancer experience.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
- Understanding of freehold and leasehold property transactions and the conveyancing process.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements including Anti‑Money Laundering Regulations.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and work proactively under minimal supervision.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Strong intellect with a high level of achievement.
- Initiative, drive, and excellent organisational skills.
- Team player and great communicator who enjoys helping and working alongside others.
- Eager to learn, develop and hone skills to take advantage of opportunities for career development.
