Our client, a leading manufacturer of precision components for the aerospace and power generation industries, is looking for a Buyer to join their growing Purchasing team. With a strong order book, excellent long-term job security and progression opportunities into Technical Buying, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business.

Buyer — Permanent — Competitive Salary (DOE)

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 12:30.

Location:

Alcester.

• Manage the procurement of materials and services to support production requirements
• Raise purchase orders and monitor supplier performance
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial agreements
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability
• Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Work closely with Production, Planning and Engineering teams
• Ensure supplier information, pricing and lead times are accurately maintained within the ERP system

• Previous buying or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems
• Proactive, organised and able to prioritise workload effectively
