Press / Production Operator
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join a busy production team, initially focusing on transfer moulding manufacturing processes.
This is a hands‑on production role, offering comprehensive training across a variety of specialist manufacturing processes, including injection moulding, extrusion, and masterbatch mixing. The ideal candidate will enjoy practical work, be eager to learn new skills, and feel comfortable operating machinery within a manufacturing environment.
LocationThe manufacturing operation is currently based in Northampton and is scheduled to relocate to Alcester in Autumn 2026
.
The successful candidate will initially be required to commute to Northampton for training and work before permanently relocating to the Alcester site.
Travel expenses will be provided while the role is based in Northampton. Once the position relocates permanently to Alcester, travel expenses will no longer be provided.
Working Hours- Monday to Thursday: 6:30am - 4:45pm
As part of the transition to the new Alcester site, there will be a one-off requirement to complete up to three periods of two-week night shifts, totalling a maximum of six weeks. Dates will be communicated in advance.
Hours may vary depending on workload, with overtime opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Learn and apply a range of tyre manufacturing processes.
- Work with processes including transfer moulding, injection moulding, extrusion, and masterbatch mixing.
- Follow manufacturing processes and work instructions accurately.
- Complete training across different areas of production.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company health and safety procedures.
- Support production requirements during the transition from Northampton to Alcester.
- Work collaboratively as part of the production team to meet daily production targets and customer requirements.
- A practical, hands‑on approach to work.
- A strong work ethic and reliable attitude.
- Willingness to learn new manufacturing processes.
- Comfortable operating machinery and working in a production environment.
- Flexibility to complete temporary night shifts when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- An interest in manufacturing and production.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, production, machine operating, or press operating is preferred but not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands‑on experience within a specialist manufacturing environment and receive training across multiple production processes.
The position will initially be based in Northampton
, with travel expenses provided during this period
, before becoming permanently based in Alcester from Autumn 2026
, at which point travel expenses will no longer be provided.
