Manpower is proud to be supporting the recruitment of a Material Planner on behalf of Aston Martin, one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Aston Martin's Supply Chain team at its Gaydon manufacturing facility and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials required to build some of the world's most desirable high-performance vehicles.

As Material Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling and controlling the supply of materials and components to meet immediate production requirements and future build programmes. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, procurement teams and manufacturing operations, you will ensure materials are available at the point of fit while maintaining optimum inventory levels and supporting uninterrupted production.

The successful candidate will proactively manage supply risks, monitor material availability and coordinate recovery plans where required. You will lead supplier discussions around delivery performance and continuous improvement, coordinate engineering modifications with the supply base, manage inventory accuracy and stock adjustments, and support the resolution of quantity and receipt-related invoice queries.

This role requires strong stakeholder management skills, as you will regularly engage with suppliers, logistics partners, production planning teams, procurement functions and senior operational leaders to provide clear visibility of inbound supply status and forward material availability.

We are looking for individuals with previous experience in material planning, logistics or supply chain operations, ideally gained within the automotive sector or a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience of working with automotive components and production schedules would be advantageous. Candidates should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be highly organised, computer literate and able to perform effectively under pressure.

The ideal candidate will be resilient, tenacious and results-driven, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and delivering successful outcomes. An understanding of lean manufacturing principles and production systems would be beneficial, while a degree, higher diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable.

In return, Aston Martin offers the opportunity to work within a world-renowned organisation where innovation, craftsmanship and excellence are at the heart of everything they do. This is a chance to make a genuine impact within a critical supply chain function while contributing to the production of exceptional vehicles admired across the globe.
